At Brightwave, our mission is to illuminate a path to wellness without surgery or drugs. Everyone knows someone struggling with pain or mobility issues. We offer a safe, holistic method to support the body’s healing at the root cause.

Brightwave Therapeutics is located in Hood River, Oregon, and specializes in providing photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy services to clients seeking a safe, non-invasive, and drug-free alternative treatment for a variety of conditions.

Deya Shapiro, founder of Brightwave Therapeutics, has 19 years of business and managerial experience. Her degree is from the Texas of McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in Austin with a major in Finance. She has worked as a financial analyst, in corporate event planning, entertainment event planning, and weddings. She later served as an Executive C-Level Assistant in a public aviation company, a private equity firm, and a health tech start up.

Deya was first introduced to photobiomodulation therapy in 2016 when looking for ways to help alleviate nerve pain and symptoms of an auto immune disorder. After immediate relief and continued beneficial effects, she began studying in earnest the science and theory behind PBMT. When she moved to the Columbia Gorge in 2020, Deya was inspired to play a bigger part and saw the need for such a service in the Columbia Gorge. Brightwave Therapeutics is currently the sole provider of PBMT using the cutting edge, FDA-approved LightMD Mark II device.

Seeing the transformative impact of Photobiomodulation therapy on people’s lives has been life changing. It has averted surgeries, sped up recovery, fortified bones, reduced reliance on pain meds, and melted away chronic issues. This therapy isn’t just about relief; it’s about restoring hope, vitality, and the joy of pain-free living. The stories I’ve witnessed are both heartwarming and a testament to the power of this approach.
